Visit to the Brisbane North Region

Visit to the Brisbane North Region– bus transport is included in the Conference Registration.

Each visit will include an introduction by library staff and a tour of facilities.

Chermside Library – Brisbane City Council

The Chermside Library is a destination location in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. It opens 7 days per week and provides facilities and spaces for learning, meeting and connection through innovative community programs. It features an imaginatively designed children’s area.

It is one of the busiest libraries in Brisbane and is located in the heart of the Chermside Community Hub: a precinct which also features a Swimming Pool, Services Club and sports fields. The library is also collocated with a Council Customer Service Centre. Through a Hub approach the library integrates with and supports a range of other compatible community services.

Pathways Library – Moreton Bay Regional Council

Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Pathways Library is located at the centre of the business and recreational district in exciting North Lakes.

The newest library in the region, Pathways is home to many state-of-the-art technologies and has the facilities and programs to suit every library user’s needs. With more than just the look of a contemporary space, the Library is fully automated and provides the option of self-service convenience while maintaining a personal touch.

With an abundance of enjoyable spaces, Pathways Library is an ideal social environment where the local community can interact. The Library delivers a wide range of programs from computer technology lessons to games online and is host to a number of community and local interest groups.
